Consulting on public health nutrition research

Any intervention and evaluation needs to begin with a discussion about the desired aims and objectives, timelines and resources. PHN Research works with clients to understand the issues and help them to achieve their goals.

Training and teaching

PHN Research provides half-day or full-day training on the need for evaluation, how to evaluate the impact of interventions, and how to present evidence to a wide range of stakeholders, including media. For those seeking more in-depth understanding of research methodology and statistical analysis, PHN Research provides longer courses taught over 6-10 weeks.

Project design, management and reporting

PHN Research offers a comprehensive package to support the design, implementation, management, evaluation, analysis and reporting of projects and interventions, including both qualitative and quantitative assessments, and report writing and editing.

Developing networks on school nutrition

With international partners, PHN Research is working to build a network of partners who wish to share best practice in school nutrition and promote the use of evidence to support good policy. Engaging with policy makers to promote robust public health evaluations Local, regional and national leaders play a powerful role not only in implementing policy but also in promoting robust evaluation and disseminating good research practice. PHN Research works with partners and stakeholders at all levels from a wide range of backgrounds to strengthen an understanding of the need for a strong evidence base in order to develop and underpin good public health nutrition policies.
